Abstract
This study examines community awareness and
public perception of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of
Kerala Minerals and Metals Limited (KMML). Using a descriptive survey design,
primary data were collected from residents of Panmana Grama Panchayat through a
structured questionnaire and analysed using descriptive and inferential
statistics. The findings indicate that the community has a high level of
awareness of KMML's CSR initiatives and a positive perception of its
contributions to healthcare and education. However, environmental initiatives
receive comparatively less favourable responses due to concerns about
industrial pollution. The study concludes that greater environmental
transparency and participatory CSR practices can strengthen community trust and
enhance the effectiveness of CSR initiatives significant
influence. The study concludes that KMML should strengthen environmental
transparency, enhance stakeholder engagement, and adopt more participatory CSR
practices to build greater community trust and improve the effectiveness of its
CSR initiatives.
